WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A forgotten and retired fighter ( Louis Gosset Jr. ) must win a boxing match against a whole bunch of local champions in order to save his buddy's ass ( James Woods ).

WORTH WATCHING?

Only if You are fans of actors listed above or of movies about boxing.

The chacacters are ok and well played - Louis Gosset Jr does his best - but the movie itself is nothing special, it's amiable, but forgettable and the script is somewhat complicated.
It lucks anything that would have driven me deeper into it.

I can't say if it's more a picture about a fighter, or a con, or what ever it's supposed to be. There are few things thrown into the mix together, but I can't say that they work well.

I can't really call it a "comedy" actually, even though there are few funny moments or moments that are supposed to be funny, but are not.

There's much more drama in it, murders happen and they are definitely dramatic scenes. They bring nothing to the movie though, and it's kind of surprising how easily do major characters laugh and gain good vibrations right after seeing dead bodies.

Still... it's not a bad flick. It's watchable. It's just not a story worth greenlighting.

When it ended I couldn't actually even say WHY was Louis G. Jr. fighting? And what did they win? How did they split the money? What were their risks if they would loose the match.

Perhaps those rules were told somewhere in the movie, but I obviously must have missed it.
So there You go... Is it a good movie if you don't really pay attention to thingh that were supposed to be the most important and make the story interesting?

I like the poster though, a good old 90s comedy type. It's promissed more than I got, though.
